14.15. The vacuum amplifier of brakes - the general data and check1. The vacuum amplifier is intended for increase in effort at pistons of the main cylinder at the expense of the depression created in the soaking up collector of the engine.
2. While in service care of the unit it is not required. The amplifier varies only after very big run of the car. Necessity of replacement is felt on increase of effort to a pedal, necessary for braking.
3. For check of work of the amplifier some times press a brake pedal. The pedal course by each pressing should not to vary.
4. Keeping a pedal pressed, start the engine, - the pedal should leave considerably forward.
5. Keeping a pedal pressed, stop the engine, - during 30 сек after a stop pedal position should not to vary.
6. Again start the engine, later 1-2 mines stop. With force press a pedal some times, - the pedal course should decrease gradually.
7. If the pedal course differs from described above execute the following.
1). Check up a condition of hoses before and after the control valve, the damaged hoses replace.
2). Check up a condition of the control valve. For this purpose a mouth remove air of their hose. If it is felt подсос air the valve replace. In the presence of the pump create on the valve from outside the amplifier pressure nearby 200 тор. Pressure drop should not exceed 6 тор for 15 seconds
3). In the opposite direction the valve should pass air. Otherwise the valve replace.
4). Check up the amplifier. For this purpose include the vacuum gauge between the valve and the amplifier and start the engine, gradually raising turns finish depression to 500 тор and stop the engine. Pressure drop should not exceed 25 тор for 15 seconds Otherwise the amplifier replace.
5). Execute these checks at completely pressed pedal of a brake. If leak exceeds the specified norms the amplifier replace.
